Edinburgh Christmas Market.
Merry Christmas from Donald Photography!
The weather may be miserable outside, but Christmas is just around the corner. Edinburgh is abuzz with last minute Christmas shoppers and tourists at this magical time in the Edinburgh calendar.
You cannot help but catch the festive bug when walking around the Edinburgh city centre. With live music, lights and notably our market, this is the city’s busiest period after the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The temporary Christmas market is open from November 17th to January 5th. If you can handle the low temperatures, be sure to head across to the market. You will be spoiled for choice! Why not treat yourself some mulled wine, bratwurst sausage and a bit of shopping. The stalls offer a range of last minute festive gifts. Additionally, there are rides, the giant wheel providing excellent views of the city centre, and of course the carousels. Despite the heavy foot traffic, you will spot thousands of photographers swarming to the market to grab some great shots during the festive period.
If you can’t resist the tempting smells of the food and mulled wine, there is also light exhibits at the Edinburgh Botanical Gardens and at Edinburgh Zoo. Both will provide some excellent photographs and lasting memories. The Christmas and New Year period is a great time to visit Edinburgh, as we really are at our best!
Donald Photography in Edinburgh also offer some great Christmas gift options. Why not gift your loved ones with a voucher for a studio sitting? If this is a gift that would make you popular next week, give us a call or pop in to see us!
From everyone at Donald Photography, we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! See you in 2019!
